CrossFit injuries are often associated with poor technique. First step is always injury prevention. Meet with your coach to assess your functional movement mechanics. Moving more efficiently will reduce the likelihood of injury. Have your coach perform a mobility screening to identify areas of concern. Proper assessment will help identify if you have a motor control deficit or mobility limitations. Sufficient mobility is necessary to prevent injury, allow you to move into better positions and therefore perform better. Mobility restrictions are a contributing factor to an array of injuries, most common include: shoulder impingement, anterior knee pain and back pain.
